Books

Some books and authors that I highly recommend - Julie Morgenstern and Peter Walsh. Read Peter's first as it deals with what's going on in your head and why we collect so much 'stuff', then Julie's is a highly practical book that takes you through organising every room of the house. Julie is the reason I became an organiser (yes, I'm a bit mushy when it comes to Julie, goodness knows the blubbering mess I'll become when I meet her!)..

Hints & Tips
Hint
Don't use toy boxes if you can avoid it - they are black holes for junk. Bookcases with plastic tubs or baskets are much easier for kids to keep tidy.
Hint
Use small chunks of time. Don't think 'I only have 10 minutes, I can't get it perfect in that time so I won't bother'. Use that 10 minutes - half done is better than not done!
